Kelowna, BC. February 23rd, 2023:  Global Citizen Events is proud to present the Grand Finale of the 2023 Sustainable Development Challenge on Thursday February 23rd from 6-9 PM at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Entry to this inspiring event is free to the general public and open to all ages. 

The evening will begin with a Sustainability Fair at 6pm where students and organizations will have booths and Art displays highlighting initiatives to address the17 UN Global Goals.

Doors to the Mary Irwin Theatre open at 6:45pm and the Finale will begin promptly at 7pm.

In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals for a better world by 2030. This event will highlight solutions in the form of projects presented by local youth in Grades 8 -12, partnered with local charities and social enterprises, working towards clean water, clean energy, healthy communities, and zero waste, to build a better future for the Okanagan and everyone. This year, the teams are working on a variety of exciting projects - from bike transportation to homelessness to solar energy!
